About Breathe
We know about the effects of deforestation on global warming.
In this song, We are the Voice Children's Environmental Choir celebrate the trees native to Britain. Trees are the lungs of our planet. Let's go plant a tree! #queensgreencanopy #countryfile #tree #tree planting
To celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, the Queen has launched her Green Canopy project. Everyone from individuals to Scout and Girl-guiding groups, villages, cities, counties, schools and corporates will be encouraged to play their part in enhancing our environment by planting trees.
The Queen’s programme starts in October, when tree-planting season begins and will continue all the way through to the end of the Jubilee year in 2022.
Trees are the lungs of our planet, and we wanted to celebrate them. We know how deforestation is contributing to Climate Change. And we know there is a big UN conference COP26 on Climate Change being hosted in Glasgow in November. We wanted to make our contribution by singing for the climate and for the trees to encourage all of us to go out and plant them! In this song, we highlight their importance in capturing carbon and keeping us all breathing clean air.

Lyrics
Verse 1
Let's go plant a tree
Any sort of tree will be
A helping hand; a gift of air
A chance to breathe and take good care
Of our world and its forms
Threatened by raging storms
It needs to breathe; let's plant a tree
Saving ground for you and me
Chorus:
And we'll breathe, breathe, breathe x 2
Verse 2
Let's go find a place,
Let’s go find a place
Plant a tree, make a space
For oak and ash, and cherry too
Let’s plant a tree right next to you
Chorus
Middle 8
Trees for winter, summer and fall
Don’t have to choose them
Let’s plant them all
Verse 3
On Every path
and every verge
Let’s plant a seed
watch it emerge
when lungs are green
the air is clean
let’s plant a tree
Chorus x 2
