Today is the launch of our song, We Are The Voice. Originally, I wrote this song for the World Summit in 2002 on Sustainable Development. That's 17 years ago. More than 30 years ago, we knew Climate Change was a reality and that we were irreparably damaging the earth. Our voices have not been heard. This is why I re-recorded this song with children from six local Surrey choirs.
Children are the leaders of the future and deserve to have a voice. They are singing for all the amazing campaigners out there who care what happens to the planet. This is our bid to win hearts and minds and create a real sea-change in thinking. The climate change protesters have been making their mark and hopefully, this song will help us also raise our voices as we launch our children's plastic awareness campaign. We are ALL the voice. We need your help!
